Curiosity, as a working method
“Stay Curious” is the line on our wall, and it is easy to read as a personality trait. It is not. It describes how we run projects.
Curiosity about the business case behind the project. About the budget and the schedule. About what the site actually looks like, which is why our engineers go there — including the junior ones. About the constraint the client has not mentioned yet.
It comes with a limit, and the limit is the part that makes it credible: at some point engineers have to stop being curious and do the work. Appropriately curious, early, and then heads down.
Our partnerships and community
Engcomp is 100% Saskatchewan-owned.
We hold partnership relationships with several First Nations and Indigenous development corporations across Canada. The description of those relationships is being confirmed with our partners before we publish it — we would rather leave it unstated for now than characterise someone else’s relationship wrongly.
What we can state: we are a Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business — Business Member, we hold the Saskatoon Tribal Council Legacy Partnership, our staff complete Indigenous-awareness training, and we were a 2021 SABEX Mistahi Mamîcîhîtowin Award finalist.
